My watercolours cost between 290 and 450 PLN. Ninety-four of them are available at the moment, and the price depends mostly on the format. The two sizes I paint most often are 40 × 30 cm, which you will find in thirty-seven works here, and 30 × 40 cm in another thirty-three. The whole gallery runs from 28 to 50 cm on the longer side.
A watercolour of that size works above a desk, in a hallway, or in a group of two or three on one wall. Above a sofa a single sheet will usually look lost — for that wall an oil on canvas serves better.
Every watercolour is painted once, on cotton paper, and is signed. Works are sent unframed and unmounted, protected between boards, so that you can choose a frame that matches your room. Watercolour needs glass and a mount, and it should not hang in direct sunlight — that is the one rule worth keeping.
The paintings can be seen in person in Warsaw, by prior arrangement. Paper has a texture that a photograph flattens, and with watercolour that texture is half of the work.
