Watercolors — figures

I paint figures less often than plants, and nearly always in relation to someone else: two faces pressed cheek to cheek, a couple under blossoming trees, a girl on a bicycle with a dog in the basket, a man walking a greyhound among golden birches.

I do not draw the faces in detail. The tilt of a head and the direction of a glance are enough — the rest happens in colour. Watercolour cannot be corrected indefinitely, so the line has to land the first time.
