The snail at the lower stem has some thirty centimetres of road ahead of it, upwards. For a snail that is a whole day's expedition, and hence the title.
The spikes are fluffy and blurred at the edges because I laid the orange onto damp paper — the individual grains spread by themselves and there is not one drawn line in them. The leaves are the opposite: thin, translucent, with clear veining, painted on dry paper.
Behind them stayed pale pink and grey shapes of other plants. They have nothing to do with botany; they are only there so the snail does not climb through emptiness.
