How to choose a painting for your interior

Choosing a painting for an interior is a serious decision, because we are choosing a work that we will look at every day for many years. Of course I assume that we have made the right choice and that the painting will stay with us for a long time.

It is not easy to make a decision while looking at a painting in the studio, because although we may like it very much, it is in different lighting and against a different background than in the place where we want to hang it. I have a great deal of evidence that most of you make good decisions, because I receive photographs of paintings already hung and usually the effect is wonderful. If, however, you have doubts, there are ways to minimize the risk of making the wrong decision.

You can borrow a painting

The surest of them is borrowing a painting. Sometimes it happens that it is hard to choose that one work, if we like several of them and cannot buy them all. I agree to lend even several works, so that you can try them out at home and look at them during the day and in the evening, in artificial light.

This is a convenient solution if you live nearby and can bring the paintings to me, to the studio, or I can drive over and together we can look at the effect we achieve.

Or I will make a visualization

In the case where there is no such possibility, I can make a visualization, if you send me a photograph of the room in which the painting is to hang. I can then also make several variants, with framing or without.
