A garden where the plants are made of stone. Five oval forms with sandy, stone-like surfaces rise on thin stalks above a rippling, deep blue plane. Each is wrapped in a turquoise net — not a pattern on the surface but a living structure holding them together.
One form lies detached at the bottom right. It changes the whole story: if one has fallen, the rest can fall too.
I painted this as a question about what is permanent here — the stone, the net, or the water underneath. The cool marine palette and soft transitions give a sense of silence below the surface.
Oil on canvas, 100 × 100 cm. This work has been sold; it stays in the archive to show where the paintings available today came from. Similar motifs are in the oil painting gallery.
