Two spherical forms stand so close that they touch and slightly deform one another. Both are covered with a heavy black and white net — the first larger and more emphatic, the second smaller, as if still growing.
The whole background is muted to grey: pale fluffy spheres and ribbed buds stand behind them like a backdrop to a double portrait. At the bottom, dark running earth.
The painting is about a dependence that is neither pleasant nor painful — it simply is. Two forms grew together and can no longer be separated without damage.
A work almost entirely without colour, so it suits rooms where the colour is already in the furniture or the rug.
