A landscape where plants stand instead of mountains. Four upright columns, rounded at the top, rise from white foam at the lower edge, their surfaces covered with a mosaic of turquoise fields outlined in silver.
The background is entirely flat and uniformly turquoise — no sky, no depth, no shadow. I removed everything that could say how far away this is or how large.
Only then does the scale become uncertain: these could be four seedlings a few centimetres high, or four towers. That uncertainty is the real subject here.
A chromatically strong work, for a room that can carry one dominant colour.
