Three large round green forms enter the frame from three sides, and on the largest of them pale branching veins are visible — the only drawing in the whole painting.
The background is dense with dots: black, graphite and blue, scattered on thin twigs like berries or buds. There are so many that they stop being objects and become texture.
The green of the leaves is deep and matt, the dots small and glossy. This clash of scale — three large things and two hundred small ones — holds the whole composition together.
A small format with strong colour. It looks good in a set with other squares.
