A dozen or so blue forms on thin stems, set unevenly, like a group still finding its places. Some have smooth surfaces, some are covered with a cellular net — the latter push forward even though they stand in the same row.
The ground is silver-grey, running down in vertical streaks, and near the lower edge it moves into yellows and greens. That band of warmth at the bottom is the only thing keeping the painting on the ground.
This is a work about one colour and its shades. All the forms are blue, and yet no two are the same blue.
