I built the spread tail from clouds of paint let loose on wet paper: purplish-brown clouds and blue splashes, in which the characteristic drawn eyes of peacock feathers settled. Sharp, feathery strokes of twigs and small black accents at the crest give the whole a playful, almost illustrative character.
