Two women's faces with half-closed eyes rest cheek to cheek, as if listening together to the same dream. The complexion is built from the thinnest glazes of sepia and warm beige, so transparent that the white of the paper still shines through the skin and gives it a porcelain glow.
I drew the long strands of hair in one stroke of the brush, in tones of coffee and honey, and the only strong accent is a denim blue spilled on wet paper on the left side of the frame. A restrained, almost meditative piece that brings a mood of intimate silence and closeness to a bedroom or study.
