Round treetops hover over a flat, mistily blurred valley — turquoise and pearl grey, set on thin, trembling trunks like balloons held on strings. I build this landscape almost entirely with light: the paint soaks into the wet paper, forming soft rings and delicate halos of pigment, while the lower part of the composition dissolves into a cool, silvery horizon. Small, thorny shrubs drawn with an ink pen introduce rhythm and scale, giving the space depth. The palette of blue, turquoise, and grey gives the feeling of silence after fresh snow — the painting breathes and calms.
It works beautifully on a bright living-room wall, in a bedroom, or in a minimalist study.
