A spent goat's-beard unfolds in the frame like a fan of thin rays — dozens of seeds with fluffy parachutes spread out from a single point in the lower part of the photograph. I bring the lens in so close that the narrow depth of field keeps only the center of the wreath in focus, while the edges melt into a dense, charcoal black. The monochromatic, almost graphite palette reduces the plant to a pure structure of lines and makes the photograph read like an ink drawing. The mood is hushed and focused — a June meadow shown as precise geometry. The print in a black frame with wide passe-partout beautifully orders a bright, minimalist wall in a living room or study.
I photograph on the wild meadows of Warsaw. These are plants considered weeds. Often unnoticed, yet look how beautiful they are.
