Two huge, cup-shaped flowers fill the frame, passing from sunny yellow and orange at the crown through hot, raspberry pink down to deep, inky ultramarine at the bottom. The colors collide here without intermediaries, and yet blend softly — the pigment ran across the wet paper, leaving ragged, feathery edges and darker deposits. The background is filled with loosely scattered, honey-colored patches, and at the lower edge small blue stems with tiny buds grow, bringing lightness back to the composition.
I play here with pure color and chance, keeping the full luminosity of watercolor. A bold, joyful piece for a living room, a dining room, or a bright interior that needs a strong color accent.
