A peacock with a cobalt-lavender body stands proudly against its spread tail, whose feathers dissolved on the paper like soft, milky clouds. Each feather's eye is marked by a turquoise patch with a lighter point in the center, and delicate, fine twigs in copper ochre bring order to this fluffy cloud. Paint spilled on the wet paper gives the impression of fur and steam, as if the bird had just shaken itself off. Above its head three thin feelers sway, tipped with black dots — a note of gentle humor that gives the piece its character.
An elegant watercolor in warm tones for a living room, hallway, or child's room.
