I was once in paradise, in the Ecuadorian jungle. There I saw a most peculiar creation, which was an orchid bud. I have placed its photograph below.
It seemed to me that no flower could be born from it, because it very much resembled some animal organ. In my painterly interpretation, out of that bud there grew a being joining fauna and flora, very beautiful and noble. A soft, blue form with a flowing, S shaped line resembles a curved swan's neck, neighboring a turquoise, mosaic mesh with an organic structure.
I join deep navy here with brightened blue and cool turquoise, building an impression of movement and mystery. Luminous, flowing tonal transitions give the composition a fairy-tale, dreamlike character. This vertical, decorative painting will become an expressive point of a modern living room or an elegant hall.
