Plants make contact with one another. they warn each other of danger by secreting the appropriate scents. The square canvas is filled with light blue, spherical flowers with finely striped petals, which float against a silvery gray, shimmering background.
I painted flowers which instead of stamens have tongues, so that their conversations could be even more interesting. Short, energetic brush strokes build a texture resembling a rain of small drops of light, and the dark stalks introduce a subtle rhythm and depth.
And since these are rather flowers of the feminine gender, they will probably gossip a little. The cool, pearl palette of white, silver and blue gives the composition a calm, slightly dreamlike character. This is an elegant and quieted painting, which will light up a modern living room kept in subdued colors and add delicate, painterly finesse to it.
