Blue is my favorite color. I lead slender, conical inflorescences in shades of turquoise and deep blue, in a row growing out of a misty, silvery gray meadow, and around them float translucent, luminous spheres like soap bubbles.
I set the delicately perforated texture of the plants against the smooth, polished sheen of the spheres, building the impression of a light play of light. This shade of blue will brighten any interior. The cool, wintry palette and soft transitions of white create a mood of silence and fairy-tale lightness.
The composition is balanced and full of grace, and at the same time intriguing in its detail. A large painting in a square format suits modern spaces. It works well as the central point of a living room or a spacious hall.
