One day I was given a bouquet of irises . I looked at it for a long time and noticed that the petals falling downwards remind me of human tongues. A spreading iris flower in intense violets and deep purples blooms against a clean, bright background, shown with almost botanical precision.
But why would flowers stick out their tongues? After all they do not want to offend anyone. The delicate, lighter veins of the petals build a subtle depth, and the bright, cream heart of the flower lights up the center of the composition.
The only reason may be that they want to show off a beautiful, glittering earring. On the lower petal there rests a pearl and a small element of a piercing, introducing a perverse, sensual accent, which explains the title of the work.
This is a refined, elegant flower painting of great expressive power, which will become a striking accent in a bedroom or a living room. This painting was accepted for the review exhibition of the painting section of OW ZPAP.
