I always like looking at photographs with airships floating in them. This is my organic version of that already legendary aircraft. In the upper part of the panoramic frame there floats for me a horizontal, black oval, whose interior is filled with a dense, blue mesh of bubbles, resembling a magnified cellular structure.
Beneath it I stretch a cool, cobalt and navy band, interspersed with small vertical strokes, like the outline of a night city reflected in water. The combination of raw black with gleaming blue creates a mysterious, almost cosmic mood.
The elongated format and minimalist composition give the work a modern, graphic character. This is an expressive painting that will work splendidly above a chest of drawers, in a study or in a loft interior kept in a dark key.
