Night is a very busy time in the world of botany. While we sleep, many new plants are born in the garden. Seeds get out of their husks and try to cover as long a road as possible, in order to settle and begin their life.
Against a cool, silvery blue background delicate, white botanical forms bloom — slender stems and scattered, luminous dots like floating seeds. The whole is kept in an airy, almost dreamlike key, in which white gently permeates an icy blue.
All this is very mysterious and interesting, which is why I had to try to paint the moment in which this mystery takes place. I build the painting with subtle, rubbed layers of oil, giving it an ethereal depth and calm. This is an intimate, poetic work with the mood of a quiet summer night. It will bring lightness and respite into a bedroom, a study or a bright living room.
The painting is painted on a thick 3D stretcher and does not require framing. Oil on canvas, 70 × 70 cm. An original work, a single copy, signed, with a certificate of authenticity.
