This pastel composition came about with a certain woman in mind, who deserved a whole garden. Downy, feathery ears in shades of pink, lilac violet and cool white undulate softly against a subdued, gray blue background.

I build their delicate, downy texture with small, luminous brush strokes, which give the whole airiness and movement. Thin, gray green stems introduce a subtle rhythm and anchor the light inflorescences in the composition.

This is a romantic flower painting full of finesse, which will light up a bedroom or a living room with soft, pastel warmth and a mood of calm.
