Is the world of animals so very distant from the world of plants? After all plants also possess intelligence, they are able to communicate, to warn of danger, and also to like or dislike one another. Their world of emotions is as rich as ours.
That is why the cycle Hybrids came about, in which animals and plants joined into single organisms and it is no longer clear whether this flower is an animal or a plant. Against a calm, light blue background there floats for me a downy, silvery white sphere resembling a scattered dandelion, out of which grows a jauntily curled, black and white rod like a lemur's tail.
I hope that, whatever it is, it seems likeable to you. This slightly surreal, fairy-tale form gives the painting a warm, mischievous humor — I work here with soft light and delicate transitions of blue, building a dreamy and cheerful mood.
