This is one of my more realistic paintings. I am lying on a meadow, among the grasses, and looking at the sky.
Slender heads of thistles and wild grasses rise against a turquoise blue, blurred sky, creating an airy, almost musical composition. That is exactly how it looks from a frog's perspective, that is exactly how beautiful and good it is.
Emerald and gray green tufts of down dissolve softly, and darker, prickly inflorescences give the whole rhythm and expressiveness. The cool palette of turquoises, greens and muted blue radiates the freshness of morning and a natural calm. This is a botanical painting full of lightness, which will bring a note of quieting and closeness to nature into a living room or a bedroom.
