The air above the meadow is full of downy little balls, which fly carrying seeds to a new place. Three spreading, downy spheres light up the canvas with a blaze of blues — from saturated sapphire to an almost black navy — splashing out with energetic, radiating brush strokes.
Sometimes it is a true invasion. Behind them loom pale, subtle reflections of further flowers, sinking in the cool white of the background.
Carried on waves of warm, summer air, downy little balls surf, carrying life spellbound into seeds. Above every meadow and field... I build these forms dynamically, in layers, rendering the impression of quivering, dandelion pompoms in full bloom. This is a joyful, decorative composition of great expressive power and depth of color. The square format will work well as a striking accent of a modern living room kept in a cool palette.
